10 random ideas for taking care of yourself is wonderful for someone who doesn't, but i do! i take care of myself too much.....in fact that is why my home is so cluttered. The time that i spend relaxing would be better used in cleaning or organizing clutter. What would u suggest for those of us who take care of ourselves too much?

It is wonderful that you take good care of yourself so this article really doesn't pertain to you. It pertains to those that have a hard time relaxing and taking care of themselves.

I would suggest that you:

1. Clear the clutter first. I always tell my clients, "You can't clean clutter." So get rid of the clutter first. Check out my website at https://www.nomorechaos.biz for lots of articles on decluttering and time management, if you want to do this yourself. If you want to do it quickly and spend more time relaxing, hire a professional organizer in your area to do it for you.

2. Once you have decluttered and have a home for everything, then establish some simple cleaning routines to keep your home in good shape with a minimal of time.

3. Maintenance is the key. Do a little each day...for example, clear the table as soon as you are finished eating, wipe down the stove and counters, run the dishwasher. This really only takes under five minutes to do. Feel the satisfaction you feel of getting it done and reward yourself with more relaxing time.

4. It is all about balance. None of us want to spend all day cleaning and with routines, you don't have to. Some people need to balance being too busy with relaxing. Some people need to balance their relaxing with routines to get the work done.
